Getting to school

At the moment adults probably choose how you travel to school but in the future you will be able to choose what transport to use and when. LDV school bus (Copyright LDV)
Walking to school (Copyright Volkswagen) Walking and cycling are the best ways of getting to school for our environment because they create no pollution.
Buses create pollution but they can carry a lot of people. They can produce less pollution per passenger than other forms of road transport. American school bus (Copyright GMC)
VW Golf (Copyright Volkswagen) Cars create less pollution and take up less space than buses. However, cars can usually carry only five people and many cars would be needed to carry your class to school. A bus could probably carry the whole class in one go.

If vehicles with engines are creating pollution how could you and your family and friends do your bit to help the environment? Design a poster to help encourage people at your school to choose walking or cycling to school as a healthier option. How could you persuade them?
