Planet friendly transport

Most vehicles produce some pollution when they are being used. As a result, people have been thinking of new ways of transporting people around without harming the environment. Greener motoring brochure (Copyright SMMT)
Peugeot 106 electric car (Copyright Peugeot) One solution is to use electric vehicles. These vehicles produce no pollution when they are being used. However, the electricity that they use is made at a power station which does cause pollution.
Another solution is to use the sun to create electricity. This works for short periods of time in countries where there is always lots of sun but is not possible to power large vehicles like buses. Solar car
Toyota Prius (Copyright Toyota) This car is powered by a small petrol engine and a large battery. Electricity for the battery is made by the car itself when the car is moving and stopping. The car still creates some harmful gas but less than other cars.

Think of new vehicles that would be better for the environment.
Which would be the best way to power the vehicles?
Who would use the transport and how would you encourage people to use your ‘planet friendly’ transport?
