Transport and the environment
Most vehicles are powered by engines burning petrol or diesel fuel. This burning process causes soot, carbon dioxide and other gases to be released into the environment through vehicle exhaust pipes.
- Soot creates dirt
- Carbon dioxide has been blamed for making our world hotter and the sun stronger
- Other gases are dangerous to the people, animals and plants that breathe them in
